Mid-Volume PCB Assembly Services

Bittele Electronics’ mid volume PCB assembly service covers orders up to 5000 units. Since 2003, we have carefully developed our DFT (Design for Testing) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) practices to produce high quality medium volume PCB assembly projects. We are committed to providing tailored solutions to suit the needs of each project, while never sacrificing on quality for all our mid volume printed circuit board production runs, and maintaining fast turnaround times with low production costs.

Our production processes and commitment to quality medium volume PCB runs is based on North American manufacturing practices. Bittele Electronics is ISO 9001 certified as well as a member of the IPC trade organization. We offer convenient parts procurement services for your mid-volume PCB assembly project with no markup, and we procure components only from authorized vendors to control the quality of our printed circuit boards and maintain full part traceability. Furthermore, for all our mid-volume PCB assembly orders, we have a free passive components program in which we will suggest substitutes from our own stock. We only stock high-quality components –such as Vishay chip resistors and Murata ceramic capacitors– to further build upon the quality of our mid-volume PCB assembly service, and also to lower the overall cost and turn time. Our purchasing policies are supported by robust testing and quality control practices, included with all of our medium run PCB assembly services.

Our clients’ designs are first evaluated by our Design for Manufacturing (DFM) engineers to ensure that every project is error-free and meets our production standards prior to the start of PCB fabrication. In many cases, this has helped our clients resolve design issues which were previously missed, saving time as well as the cost of a repeat production run. During this process, our clients’ designs can be assessed from an engineering point of view to address any options which could further decrease the turn time or overall cost of the project, while maintaining the highest possible quality of the PCB. In addition, during this stage our engineers will assess the PCB for Design for Testing (DFT), which provides time and cost saving opportunities during the testing process. In doing so, every mid volume PCB assembly project can be tailored to each client’s needs, regardless of the size of the order or type of board.

This is supported by our wide range of production capabilities, which our clients can rely upon for their medium volume printed circuit board assembly runs. Currently, our production facility is able to assemble a variety of surface mount and through hole components. For SMT components, we are able to assemble many different IC package types, including but limited to: BGA, QFN, QFP, and LGA, as well as fine pitch components down to 0.2mm, with 0201 imperial (0603 metric) being the smallest passive component package.

Based on the specific requirements for each of our clients’ medium volume PCB assembly projects, we are able to provide a wide range of testing services. These testing services include Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Circuit Testing (FCT), Bed of Nails testing and X-Ray inspection for projects involving BGA and other lead-less components. To further ensure the functionality of our clients’ assembled PCBs, we offer a free advanced sample program, which involves assembly and shipping for a small portion of the order to for client approval, prior to the main production run. This ensures all quality and functionality requirements are being met before the order is completed. A key advantage to our medium volume PCB testing process is that once we have prepared the test fixtures and processes specific to our client’s PCBs, the cost as well as turn time greatly decreases as the assembly volume increases.

We can further tailor our mid volume PCB assembly services to our clients’ production timelines and assembly requirements through individual shipping arrangements, as well as personalized payment plans. In doing so, the entire volume of the order can be spread across several months, matching the client’s demand.

Bittele Electronics Inc. is strongly committed to providing high quality mid-volume PCB assembly services and PCB fabrication for all our clients. We have a variety of fabrication, assembly, and testing capabilities, which serve to maintain consistency of quality throughout the production process, as well as save our clients time and production cost.
