What are the differences between PCBA and PCB?
PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is a printed circuit board, which is made by printing conductive materials on a non-conductive substrate. PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is an electronic parts assembly board formed by soldering components on the basis of PCB.01. From the manufacturing process point of view , PCB board is relatively simple. Its manufacturing process includes: baseboard preparation, graphic drawing, conductive material printing, corrosion, drilling, welding and other steps. In the production process of PCBA board, the insertion and welding process of components will also be added, which is relatively more complicated.
02. The two also differ in function. The PCB board mainly bears the circuit connection function, and the lines formed by the conductive materials on it are responsible for signal transmission and the connection of electronic components. On the other hand, the PCBA board is based on the PCB board, and electronic components are inserted and soldered to form a complete electronic parts assembly board. Therefore, the PCBA board not only has the circuit connection function, but also can realize more complex electronic equipment functions.
03. The application fields of the two are also different. Since PCB boards are relatively simple to make and have low costs, they are widely used in electronic products such as home appliances, communications, and computers. PCBA boards are commonly found in electronic devices that require more complex functions, such as mobile phones, computer motherboards, and automotive electronic control systems.
From the above analysis, we can see that there are obvious differences between PCBA and PCB in terms of manufacturing process, function and application field. Understanding these differences can help us better choose the right electronic component board. Whether it requires simple circuit connection or complex electronic equipment function, choosing the right board is crucial.
